Pet sharing brings joy to students in New Zealand

Share My Pet connects pets and people throughout New Zealand. Many pet carers on board are students who are missing their fur babies back at home. Also common is they are living in rental with a no pet policy. Pet sharing brings joy and happiness to students by connecting them with new furry friends.

By creating a profile on Share My Pet animal lovers have the opportunity to connct with pet owners. Pets recieve extra attention care and love. Pet sharing dates can be arranged and cuddle time with pets is now an option for all kiwis wanting to join their pet sharing community.

“I heard about Share My Pet about 2 years ago and signed up straight away. It was a dream come true to be able to spend time with other peoples pets!

As I am living at home and studying my current situation doesn’t allow for me to have my own pets. Since joining Share My Pet I have made so many new furry friends. I spend wonderful quality time with at least 3 local dogs and am never without canine companionship for my beach walks and coffee dates.

I have had the opportunity to do pet sitting and holiday care. My parents have also agreed to let us have occasional furry guests stay at our family home . This is when pet owners are away on holiday and my whole family enjoys having a cute visitor stay over.

Pet sharing brings joy into my life and has been great for my mental health. Getting out and about with a dog and feeling connected to my community has been a real bonus too.

Share My Pet allows me the freedom and flexibility to be a loving part of a pets life. It’s been super easy to arrange dates and outings and I adore all the wonderful pets that have come into my life.“
