- I have just returned to live in Nelson and one of the things I was looking forward to about being settled back here was getting a dog. First things first, I need to find work. In the meantime I thought it would be great to give somebody else’s some love and attention. The way I see it, we all benefit. Your fur baby gets exercise, smooches and loving attention, you are less stressed knowing he/she is getting additional comfort and I get to reintroduce myself to all that owning a dog entails. I grew up with a dog and plenty of cats.
Most recently I volunteered with rescued dogs and cats in Cambodia.
