Derek is 1 year old; 1/2 bichon, 1/4 miniature poodle and a 1/4 miniature schnauzer. He is very friendly, has to say hello to nearly everyone when out on a walk. He is an extrovert so loves both dogs and people. He sometimes barks at little people when out and about as he seems to think they are another animal, and tries to get them to play.
I work from home and Derek is with me all day, he patiently waits for a walk each day. As he is a real extrovert I’m feeling guilty that he isn’t spending more ‘focused’ time with other humans that can play with him more often, or give him more attention during the day, or play with other small dogs. He gets two walks during the day, it wouldn’t matter if one of these was with someone else. I also from time to time have commitments (this weekend going for a 5 hour walk) and don’t want to leave him alone. Would be nice if someone was able to take him for a few 1/2 days during the week or a couple of full-days (business hours) or just able to take him for a walk to break up the time or just play games with him.
I don’t like to walk him around my local area (too many unsavory characters) and normally drive him to somewhere like Hagley or Hansen park, so you’d have to have your own vehicle, if walking was involved. Alternatively if you are an older person looking for company I would be happy to drop him off a couple of days/mornings/afternoons a week.
