Name

Bruiser

Type of pet

Dog

Location

Christchurch, New Zealand

Bruiser is a beautiful 3 year old fox terrier x Parson Russell (long legged Jack). He is the leader of the pack and sets the pace on outings when with his mother Sika and brother Brick. Bruiser has a black face and he is well socialised with other dogs. He loves playing with sticks and balls. He is great at bringing them back! Enjoys car rides, not a fan of cats or other small furries (they are too much fun to chase). Bruiser has spent time with children and toddlers and is fine around them.

Recently relocated to Christchurch after living on a 10 acres block in Southland. All three dogs have been training with an ex-police dog handler to convert them into ‘city dogs’. They are well socialized and walk well on a leash.

Very friendly and generally very well behaved. Only want to please. Lovely little characters – everyone comments on them.  Have strong key words. Neighbours in our new city environment are most complimentary on how they don’t react to the other ‘barky’ dogs in the area.

All three dogs are professionally walked on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so ideally after someone who would like to take them city strolling on leash mostly to help de-energise them! Prefer middle of day time, Monday and Wednesdays if possible. Although, please do contact for whenever suits you best, as happy for them to get as much action, or just cuddles as possible! Located in Edgeware, not too far from Abberley Park. I am happy for the dogs (all three of mine are listed here) to go out individually, in pairs or as a pack.

I take them for an off/leash run in Abberley Park most mornings around 7, and Red Zone most evenings.

As a now single ‘dog Mum’ – Really just after someone to provide interest and a little more variety to their day. Happy to do few joint walks together until everyone is settled in and comfortable with each other.

I’m very proud of the way all three dogs have adapted from country life to city. Am open to having a few (regular, or even irregular) walkers/carers as my priority is to provide my little rascals as much fun and entertainment and exercise I can!
The person needs to be incredibly trustworthy as they mean a lot to me.
