I’m new to this site, have been in new zealand for just over 2 years from UK… would love to own a dog but work long hours Monday to Thursday and live alone, so know it wouldn’t be fair to them. I had dogs in my family home and miss the company and the excuse to go for a walk. I am often around on a Friday or weekends for walks, cuddles or staying for the day or night (although I have carpeted floor so would need to be OK with that) . I have a shared garden and live a few minutes away from a dog-friendly beach. There are often birds and cats in the garden, so preferably a dog who doesn’t bark uncontrollably at these!
