My name is Edith and I recently moved to central Wellington from San Francisco. I work from home while my partner attends Victoria University Te Herenga Waka. We had to leave our 6 year old miniature schnauzer with family in the US and I miss her so much. This website seems like a good way to fill some of that homesickness by sharing love with other local doggos.
When it comes to other people’s pets, I am careful to heed owners’ advice and wishes (no one knows your dog better than you do) and I’m patient in reading the animal’s cues. Pet safety is very important to me, as is paying attention to the animal’s personality. I use the owner’s command words and maintain their obedience protocol, and I don’t mind working with animals that have special needs. My favorite thing is to play with pups until they flop down for a nap :)
