Jerry is a dachshund aka a sausage dog. He loves getting out for quiet ambles, which is his favourite pass time. He does love a good, short gallop on the beach or grassy expanse, but because he has trouble with his back – which tends to be worse in the mornings (possibly worsened by arthritis) he needs time to get going until he “warms up”. If “Mum” wants a good, brisk walk in the mornings, he happily rides along in his stroller, surveying the view as we go. Jerry loves lying in the hot sun, likes to meet other dogs and people – but best keep the puppies away because he is boss and lets them know it! Jerry is mostly a calm dog, travels well in the car, and happy just to be your companion especially if you come with treats!
